Wholemeal spelt pancakes

It was a pancake kinda day! 

Little ones came over all sniffly today, so we decided it was a stay at home all cozy, comfy clothes, eating warm scrummy pancakes whilst the crazy Winter winds and rain chilled the outside kinda day. Just because we can.

 • wholemeal spelt  • almond milk  • cinnamon •

Makes 8-10 pancakes 
Easy
 Dairy free


What You Need:
  • 1/2 cup spelt flour (or swap out for regular wholemeal flour)
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • tiny pinch sea salt
  • 1 t baking powder (I use aluminum-free)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
topping ideas:
  • maple syrup, coconut yoghurt, fruit and bits 


What to Do:
  1. Mix all dry ingredients together. Heat a non stick pan on medium heat while mixing the batter. 
  2. Add the milk to dry ingredients and stir well. Spray the skillet with non stick olive oil or lightly oil pan.
  3. Spoon the batter onto the skillet on med-low temperature. Flip pancakes when bubbles pop and cook other side.
Makes 8-10 baby pancakes.
