Warm almond, pear and ginger smoothie

Smoothie of the day:

For a little healthy decadence give this rich, nutritious smoothie a try. 

Ginger ~ Fighting the battles of past athletic decisions, straight into 2 babies and only a year gap! My body - spine - has let me know!! This ignited my obsession to feel and find better! Among many this is one of those natural little gems making its way into as many places as possible. It’s powerful antioxidant compounds increases circulation and reduces inflammation. Oh and it can taste so good in a good smoothie. Every opportunity. Yes please. 

So warm and soothing on my body.

Serves 3
What You Need:
  • 2 pears, chopped
  • 1 thumb size fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tbsp chia seeds (hemp seeds if you have)
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup 
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened almond butter (replace with peanut if thats all you have)
  • 1.5 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)


What to Do:
  • Place all ingredient in a blender. For a warm smoothie option on a cold day, use a high powered blender and mix until warm. If you have a regular blender mix until combined and for warm option heat gently over medium-low heat until reaches its desired temperature.
