Stairs workout

Keeping active with little ones can be tough. And whilst it doesn’t have to be perfect or in a gym, what I’ve personally found is that it requires looking outside the box. Looking for those little gaps and windows that fit in and around our life. 


This park was quiet, the sky was clear and these stairs offered up a little opportunity for me. Whilst not every park visit has me pulling my trainers out but today it did. It felt great, my little monkeys loved to get involved. We’ll call it play. Oh and my legs were somewhat jelly like after this one. 


Play with little mix up, add, change, adapt it and turn some outdoor play time into a killer mommy workout! Work to your capabilities, keep moving continuously and repeat set up to 4 times with minute rest between. Feel the legs burn on this one!!
Exercise:
Find set of Stairs - around 10 steps, 
Moving up and down:
  1. Run: each step, run it, jog it or even walk it. Both up and down
  2. Run: every second step up, run it, jog it or even walk it. and single steps coming down
  3. Jumping: up single steps and down.
  4. Jumping: every second step jumping up, and single steps down.
  5. Step ups: 20 fast
  6. Lunges: with back leg raised single leg lunge 10 each leg

Feel the burn!
