4 minute ab workout

Quick little 4 minute workout that can be done almost anywhere, with nothing needed but a stopwatch to feel the burn.


I love these little gems I can squeeze in and around life.

Description:
  • Start stop watch, 30 secs each exercise, continuously until you complete the full set. Keep neck as relaxed as possible throughout. Hold back strong to avoid and back discomfort. Simplify exercise to ability. Main focus is on continual movement rather than difficulty. Follow video for easy follow.


Exercises:
  • To start lying on back. Legs bent with knees at 90 degree angle.
  1. Hands on legs and continuous crunchies, sliding your arms up and down your legs.
  2. Lift head and shoulders off the floor slightly, and move your upper body from side to side, touching your ankle with your hand on each rep
  3. Side crunches, elbow to opposite knee, alternating each side
  4. Full sit up, keeping abs and core engaged throughout movement
  5. Leg raises, lift legs up to 90 degrees, arms in most comfortable position, lift hips up and down using lower abs to control movement.
  6. Sitting upright in a ‘tuck position’ as a ball, move body outwards into straight position, controlling movement through abs and keeping back touching ground. go as slow as needed, holding back in a strong position throughout.
  7. lying back done, knees and legs up at 90 degrees, bicycle legs. keeping hollow of back on the ground.
  8. Lift head and shoulders off the floor slightly, and pulse arms up and down just above the floor.
